Supporting over 25,000 aircraft worldwide making over 40,000 landings every day, they approached us to work with them to find appropriately qualified and skilled people to fill placements in the UK business as projects came up that needed staffing over and above the people they already had in place.
We placed just over 70 people with them in the first year of working together, and were then given the opportunity to tender for their entire recruitment process outsourcing. We won the contract, and now in essence work as part of their HR department, managing the whole process from facilitating interviews through to onboarding for successful candidates.
We source whatever skills are needed for the projects that come in – a lot of people were needed for the A350 Airbus and A380 work, for example, and many of their projects need ongoing staffing. There are around 1,000 employees on the site so it's always a busy place. Our aim is always to put forward the right people, not just a pile of CVs, so they reap the benefits of us sifting through our huge database and choosing only those with the most relevant skills for a shortlist.
Not only have we consistently supplied high-quality engineers when needed, we have also halved the number of days taken from a vacancy occurring to it being filled again. Our aim is always to provide talent in the most efficient way possible.
